ANGELES CITY — Add more drama in every bat of your eyelash. NÉW Lounge finally opened its newest branch here on Friday.
NÉW Lounge is a beauty and wellness center focused on nails, eyelashes, and wellness – hence, NEW – providing a premium experience catering to busy and modern individuals. Some of its famous celebrity clients include Heart Evengelista, Solenn Heussaff, Sarah Lahbati, Ruffa Gutierrez, Alex Gonzaga, Toni Gonzaga, Bella Padilla, and many more.
Started in 2017, NÉW Lounge now has a total of 14 branches in Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Pampanga.
The grand opening was attended by NÉW Lounge operations director Sharie Quintero, operations managers Camille Tejada and Abigail Overa, industrial partners Elaine Timbol, Kirk Chavez, and LA Cantimbuhan, as well as local personalities, social media influencers, and vloggers.
According to Timbol, despite the current pandemic situation, opening the newest branch here is an opportunity as some of their Manila clients still come all the way from north of the mertropolis such as Pampanga, Tarlac, etc.
“Now that it’s pandemic, we have decided to bring NÉW Lounge here. They don’t have to go to Manila anymore. I think it’s also a good opportunity for Kapampangans to experience the services and technique we offer here,” said Timbol.
“I am one of their clients before becoming one of their partners. We have been wearing face masks since lockdown, it’s just our eyes now that is shown. It’s also one way of taking care of ourselves,” Timbol added.
NÉW Lounge is known for using anti-bacterial sable lashes. Tejada said sable lashes are the thinnest and softest kind as they mimic the natural lashes which is ideal for those who want to have a lighter feel as it doesn’t weigh down the natural lash.
According to Tejada, NÉW Lounge is prominent in technique and style as their stylists were also trained by a Japanese eyelash educator.
“Eyelash business is huge in Japan. We had a Japanese educator to train our specialist because of their quality and technique also,” she said.
NÉW Lounge has two types of branches — the regular lounge and the prestige lounge. The prestige lounges are located in Shangri-la The Fort in BGC Taguig and Shangri-la Mactan in Cebu. Tejada also shared that they will open the NÉW Lounge flagship store in March.
“The difference is that the prestige branch is where our top stylists are. They are trained and certified by our Japanese eyelash educators. Though all of our stylists were trained by our Japanese stylists but the ones at the prestige lounge went through a certification. We also use a different type of sable lashes. It is thicker, darker, and longer than the regular lash,” said Tejada.
For Cantimbuhan, she noted that all of NÉW Lounge branches follow the standard safety protocols from online bookings and reservations to the actual appointment.
“Since we reopened in July, we don’t accept walk-ins. Our clients need to book their appointment in advance. Our reservations officer will conduct a health screening interview. If the client passes the interview, then they can proceed with their appointment,” Cantimbuhan said.
“Our clients are also required to wear PPEs — we have the robe, hair cover, and foot covers. We also have the usual temperature check and sanitation. Our recliners are sanitized after every client,” she furthered.
Located on the second floor of Omnistellar building, Fil-Am Friendship Highway, NÉW Lounge Pampanga is open from Monday to Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
