TARLAC CITY- The barangay chairman of San Sebastian in this city was arrested Saturday by the city police who found in his possession five sachets of shabu and a fragmentation grenade in his house in the village.
Supt. Luis Ventura Jr, head of the Tarlac police provincial intelligence branch, identifi ed the chairman as Sherin Samson, 43, who already surrendered to the police but was set free under Oplan Tokhang last year.
Ventura said the contraband was found in Samson’s house which was covered by a court-issued search warrant. Tarlac police director Senior Supt. Ritchie Posadas commended Ventura for the arrest of Samson.
“Samson is a high-value target and is also among the Directorate for Intelligence’s list of targeted drug personalities. His arrest is a commendable accomplishment”, Posadas said.
