CABANATUAN CITY – Banking hours in this city had been temporarily cut short amid efforts to prevent and contain the spread of Covid-19.
Godofredo Wenceslao, president of Cabanatuan City Bankers Club, Inc., said that officers of the organization declared “shortened banking hours” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays.
The declaration took effect on Monday, March 23, “until further notice or upon lifting by the office of the city mayor of Cabanatuan of the issued EO (Executive Order) whichever comes first,” Wenceslao said in a notice to their members.
The move was made after Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara ordered a lockdown as per EO 2020-007 she recently issued.
“A “no face mask, no entry policy” in every bank is also hereby advised for our safety and that of our clients,” the notice read.
