Engr. Peter Muldong, a resident of this town, said the main road has just undergone construction two years ago but is now undergoing rehabilitation again due to alleged “damaged pavement” as claimed by the DPWH when there is no obvious damage on it.
“There is no damage at all,” observed a resident.
Another resident said the road rehabilitation is unnecessary and is just a waste of government funds while another asked: “Is this tolerated by the Duterte administration?”
Dungan Construction and Trading Corp. is the contractor of the road rehabilitation project that started on February 16, 2017 at a cost of P9,398,425.31.
The contractor cited the “assets preservation of the national road rehabilitation, reconstruction, upgrading of damaged, paved national road based on pavement management system” of the DPWH.
It said the road rehabilitation is part of the “highway development and management of intermittent sections along the Bamban Poblacion Road.”
