ANGELES CITY – The chairman of this city’s premier barangay has announced his plans to establish a fire station just outside the main gate of the Clark Freeport.
Balibago Captain Rodelio “Tony” Mamac said he will ask help from Atty. Felipe Antonio Remollo, newly-installed Clark Development Corp. (CDC) president and CEO, to build the fire station.
Mamac said the fire station would benefit “both the city and the Freeport.”
“Clark is host to the airport and big firms and it needs lots of facilities such as a fire station to ensure the safety of the people. The city is a thriving place and more fire stations are needed,” said Mamac.
The two-term village chief expressed confidence in the leadership of Remollo, former Dumaguete City mayor and a member of the Liberal Party (LP). Mamac is the chapter head of the LP in this city.
“I am quite sure Remollo will succeed as CDC president. His experience in public service and his educational background will be the difference,” said Mamac.
He disclosed that he is set to meet with Remollo this week and will discuss with him his plans to push for the “harmonious existence of Balibago and Clark.”
