BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bishop Ruperto C. Santos on Sunday announced that the diocese of Balanga has donated P849,084 cash to Sendong victims in the cities of Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Dumaguete.
The amount was shared to the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro – P424,542; diocese of Iligan – P254,725.20 and diocese of Dumaguete – P169,816.80.
The bishop requested all the priests from 11 towns and one city of the province, all under the diocese here, to ask parishioners to pray for the victims of the calamityand in solidarity to help.
The contribution came from the second collection during masses before the New Year. He asked the priests to announce the amount of donation and thank the faithful during the Holy Mass.
“We are thankful to all of you people of Bataan. God bless Bataan,” Santos said.
