BALANGA CITY — The city hall here will be closed for two days while waiting for the result of the swab tests of individuals exposed to active cases of the coronavirus disease, Mayor Francis Garcia announced in an advisory Thursday.
The mayor said there will be no transaction at the cityhall main building on Friday and Monday (June 4 and 7, 2021) and instead employees will undertake work-from-home.
This, Garcia said, was to avoid social interaction of employees inside different offices while the result of the swab test is not yet known.
Work at city hall will resume on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
There will, however, be no suspension of transactions at the city hall annex, public market, veterinary office, city disaster risk reduction management office, general services office and all rural health units.
“Bukas ang mga ito para sa serbisyo publiko,” the mayor said.
Latest report from the city health office showed that Balanga City has 1,695 confirmed Covid-19 cases with 310 active ones, 30 deaths and 1,325 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
