‘Bakuna ni Nanay, Ayuda ni Tatay’ brings flu vax, food to Mabalaqueños

MABALACAT CITY – Twin initiatives of Pampanga’s renowned couple Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and businessman-philanthropist Rodolfo “Tatay Bong” Pineda were cascaded here on Jan. 21 benefitting hundreds of residents.

The Geld Aquino-Jun Castro tandem and their team of aspirants led the roll out of free flu vaccinations under the Bakuna ni Nanay and the corresponding distribution food packs to the vaccinees under the Ayuda ni Tatay held at the Doña Maria Covered Court and Marcons Phase 2 Covered Court. 

“We wanted to ensure that all Mabalaqueños had access to essential health services and food assistance. By bringing these initiatives directly to the communities, we’re addressing immediate needs while emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare,” noted mayoralty aspirant Aquino.  

Castro shared similar sentiment: “These initiatives reflect our commitment to the welfare of our people. Health and nutrition are basic rights, and we are grateful to all our partners and supporters who made this event possible.”

Administering the vaccination and providing accurate health information to the public were private doctors, registered nurses, and nursing students from Systems Plus College, facilitating the smooth administration of vaccines and providing accurate health information to the public. 

“This partnership demonstrates how public-private collaborations can impact the lives of our constituents. Together, we’re building a healthier and more resilient city,” noted Aquino.

The initiatives were organized in collaboration with the Nanay Partylist, represented in the event by current board member Atty. Ananias “Jun” Canlas, and the Department of Health highlighting the importance of flu vaccinations in preventing severe illness and virus transmission.

Aquino and Castro tool turns in thanking Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Nanay for the twin initiatives that “greatly redounded to the welfare of the Mabalaqueños.”  

Of the Pineda patriarch, the mayoralty aspirant said: “Tatay Bong’s dedication to helping our kababayans is truly inspiring. His generosity brings hope to countless families and strengthens our efforts to build a better Mabalacat.” 

“We thank Tatay Bong for being a steadfast partner in our mission to serve the people. His ayuda food packs have made a significant difference in the lives of many Mabalaqueños,” his running mate seconded. Punto News Team/Contributed photos
