Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair launches in Zambales

Botolan, Zambales – The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) launched its 10th installment of the serbisyo caravan in Zambales, a program which aims to cover all 83 provinces nationwide.

2nd District of Zambales Representative Doris “Nanay Bing” Maniquez, together with Zambales Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., Botolan Municipal Mayor Jun Omar Ebdane and Iba Municipal Mayor Irenea Maniquez Binan will serve as the local hosts of the 2-day event on January 27-28, 2024 in Botolan and Iba, Zambales

During the press conference held at the Botolan town hall, Congresswoman Maniquez expressed her heartfelt appreciation to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez for holding the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Zambales.

Sofonias Gabonata Jr., Deputy Secretary General of BPSF National Secretariat said the launching in Zambales is the first serbisyo caravan held in Region 3 “This BPSF is the first caravan launch this year.

Gabonata commended the full cooperation, dedication and assurance of the Provincial government of Zambales, full participation of the local government leaders in the 13 municipalities and city and various line agencies making the event the most organized and prepared serbisyo caravan.

“As of today, there are 46 participating agencies, 177 services and programs with 80,000 expected beneficiaries across the province of Zambales during the two day festival of services in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, with a total amount of Php654-million cash and services will be offered,” Gabonata said.

Among the services offered by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be a province-wide payout in all 13 municipalities which is expected to reach over 26,000 individual beneficiaries amounting to 52 million pesos. Other province-wide activities include various scholarship programs of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and CHED and livelihood assistance for various sectors in pre-identified eligible clients across Zambales, explained Congresswoman Maniquiz.

The opening program will be held at the Botolan Peoples Plaza, Botolan, Zambales on January 27, 2024 from 9:00AM wherein agencies will be conducting the ceremonial turnover of over 22 programs.

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez will represent President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and shall be the keynote speaker and guest of honor, Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy, Department of Migrant Workers OIC-Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac Jr., and Senior Deputy Speaker and Pampanga 3rd District Representative Aureldaneio D. Gonzales Jr will also be in attendance.

On the first night of the Serbisyo Fair, a Pasasalamat Concert featuring Ogie Alcacid, Bamboo and other know artist will also be held at the Zambales Sports Complex, Iba, Zambales with free admission.

Governor Ebadane will be giving away 15 tricycles, multi-cabs and 4 motorcycles as raffle prizes during the concert event. (Malou Dungog)
