BAGAC, Bataan- This mountain town adjacent to the West Philippines Sea has registered a zero crime rate on index crimes since April this year, the chief of police announced Thursday.
Included under the index crimes are murder, homicide, robbery, kidnapping, among some other big offenses. “Since I took over as head of the Bagac police last April 2014, there were only few petty crimes but no big and sensational crimes that make the municipality as one of the most peaceful towns in Bataan,” said Senior Inspector Andrew Jansky Jaafar.
He said that peace and order is maintained in the town due to police presence and visibility and the full support given by Mayor Ramil del Rosario. Jaafar said they are also undertaking no letup drive against illegal cutting of trees and fishing.
“Once a week, sinusuyod namin ang coastal area at maging ang bundok,” the chief of police said.
