    Bacani implores Guiao: work first.

MABALACAT, Pampanga – “It’s not ham but livelihood and employment that Yeng Guiao must give.”

Thus said first district congressional candidate and presidential aspirant Luisito “Chito” Bacani in an interview with Punto last Monday.

Bacani lashed at Vice Governor Joseller “Yeng” Guiao for campaigning “too early” instead of working as a public official.

He said what is important “right now is that Guiao and other leaders should minimize poverty by improving employment.”

A three-term vice governor, Guiao announced earlier that he will run congressman in the first district.

In text message to this writer on Wednesday, Guaio said: “Is that an issue? Is it wrong?”

“Tarzan (First District Rep. Carmelo Lazatin) also gave hams. Why not asked him? Balu ku naman bata nakang Tarzan (I know you are with Tarzan),” Guiao said. He was referring to this correspondent of Punto who asked him for his comments.

“You are not looking for news, that’s your excuse for raising irrelevant issues against me. Wag na tayong maglokohan. Kilala daka,” added Guiao when told that it was Bacani and former Magalang Mayor Sonny David who raised the issues against him.

“You know what I mean. It’s political propaganda. You are allowing yourself to be used,” Guiao added.

David said many people are starving and “giving hams and other gifts to Mabalacat and Angeles City village officials is a temporary remedy.”

He also said “Yeng should just coach and he has no match versus Tarzan.”
