Mayor Edwin Santiago gushes at towering Azure North.
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – “It will be our pride, biruin mo mayroon tayong another landmark.”
Thus, gushed Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago at his city’s first real high-rise, Azure North, a three-tower, 20-storey condo right by the western ingress to the North Luzon Expressway.
Santiago led an inspection of the edifice on Tuesday with city building officer Efren De Leon and city engineer Anele David.

Developed by Century Properties Group, Inc., Azure North brands itself as “a paradise like no other” where “beachside dreams…(are) a reality” boasting of resort style amenities like a white sand beach cove, wave and lap pools, and panoramic views of majestic Mount Arayat to the east and the Zambales mountain ranges to the west.
The Philippines’ longest shopping mall SM City Pampanga and Robinsons Starmills are practically neighbors, just across NLEX.

According to the city building officer, the Azure North developer has already complied with all necessary documents and permits “including the compliance to Presidential Decree 1096 or the National Building Code of the Philippines.”
Condo units have already been turned over to buyers and the move-in is just awaiting the issuance of occupancy permit by the city government.
“We are very thankful na nag-invest ang Century Properties dito sa San Fernando. It will be our pride, biruin mo mayroon tayong another landmark,” enthused Santiago. “Kunwari galing ka ng Manila, alam mong nasa San Fernando ka na dahil sa dalawang landmarks. Una yung Paskuhan Village and pangalawa these towers of Azure North.”
In his enchantment over the grandeur of Azure North, Santiago may have glossed over the reality of then long lost glory of Paskuhan Village.
Neglected for decades now, Pampanga’s – not only San Fernando’s — once brightest signature landmark is a veritable jungle of tangled vegetation, awaiting its own re-purposing by its new owner SM Prime Holdings Inc.
As it stands now, Azure North is the only landmark for the City of San Fernando in the context of the mayor’s estimation. With CSFP-CIO
