“Dahil sa dinaranas naming matinding polusyon, aalis kami rito basta may tamang relokasyon na may compensation ng naaayon sa batas,” said Daisy Pedranza, vice-president of the Limay Concerned Citizens, Inc.
Derek Cabe of the Coal-free Bataan Movement said that per their census, 160 to 180 families in the PEX site in barangay Lamao, Limay town are the most adversely affected and needed relocation.
Residents also want proper compensation for their fruit-bearing mango trees, bananas and other plants.
“Just compensation sa development na ginawa ng tao sa lupa at sapat na paninirahan ayon sa itinatadhana ng mga batas at United Nations conventions,”she said.
Cabe is also a ranking member of the Nuclear-free Bataan Movement and Kilusang Pambansang Demokratiko.
“Tapos tigilan na ang coal bilang dirty energy at magkaroon ng energy transformation at shift to renewable energy,” she said.
