CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Hog raisers still reeling from the adverse effects of the African swine fever in Pampanga have started receiving assistance from the Department of Agriculture.
No cash outlay is coming from the DA though but 500 cows, 400 carabaos, and 500 goats are set to be distributed under the agency’s ASF Rehabilitation Program.
On Wednesday, the Agriculture department through Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda initially distributed 113 cows, 27 carabaos, and 250 goats to hog raisers in the City of San Fernando and the towns of Bacolor, Mexico, Sta. Ana, Arayat, Guagua, Sto. Tomas, Macabebe, Masantol, and Sasmuan.
The beneficiaries were among the 6,718 hog raisers affected by the ASF
Distribution of the same animals have been scheduled in the rest of Pampanga.
