ANGELES CITY – Armed men in military uniform burned heavy equipment used by a contractor tasked to build the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) in Barangay San Manuel in Tarlac City at 11 a.m. last Saturday, belated police reports said.
The report said the armed men first poked their high-powered arms against the workers of RD Policarpio Construction before dousing gasoline on heavy equipment.
The armed men poured gasoline on the engines of three backhoes, one crane and one grader and then ignited them.
Before fleeing, the armed men fired three successive shots into the air and then fled towards Villa Bacolor, Tarlac City.
The report did not say whether the armed men used vehicles in their attack.
