Wedding Day

ANGELES CITY — From the first time Jeff Amurao laid his eyes on Trish, he knew then that he would spend the rest of his life with her.

After being together for two years, Jeff popped the question and Trish said “Yes.” From that moment, they set and looked forward to their wedding day – March 18, 2020, the same week the world shut down due to the threats of Covid-19.

The couple had no choice but to postpone their dream wedding.

But the Covid-19 pandemic did not weaken the couple, it even made them stronger.

“We grew even closer together, we got to know ourselves better in times of crisis and limitations too. [I thought] it was God’s way of reassuring us that we are where we’re supposed to be, that we were so sure of getting married, we would be able to wait for the perfect time,” Jeff shared.

But there was another hurdle.

Jeff’s business was losing sales the same way many businesses worldwide were dwindling.

Dream House on hold

“We even came to a point when our company passbook showed negative figures. Raw materials were getting harder to find because of the trouble with the importation of goods. Almost all of our suppliers struggled greatly during the pandemic,” Jeff recalled.

“I looked at my staff. Despite the difficulty, they stayed by my side. These are good, industrious, and hopeful people, and I did not want to let them down just because there is a worldwide health crisis,” he added.

With the support of Trish, Jeff used their wedding funds, including their savings for their dream house, to keep his company afloat and his employees intact.

“No one wanted this pandemic to happen. Unlike other companies that closed down for good or retrenched their workers, I made sure mine were kept well and safe,” he shared.

Jeff started producing Aqua Skin products, thus, the birth of Aqua Skin Philippines.

Aqua Skin is a Japanese brand focusing on improving beauty and wellness. Through extensive research and development, the company came up with premium products that became a hit on the market while providing the clients with a high-end and satisfying consumer experience.

Among its popular products were Aqua Skin Glutathione Capsules, Aqua Skin Gold, Aqua Skin Amino Collagen Powder, Aqua Skin KaizenC+, Aqua Skin Kagayaki Drink, Tsubaki Soap, and Aqua Skin Lipstick.

With the tireless efforts of his people, Aqua Skin Philippines flourished slowly becoming a household name in terms of effectiveness and highly-recommended beauty products.

As his company reaches financial stability and pandemic restrictions eased, it was time to push through with their wedding.

On July 9, 2022, Jeff and Trish married at the Risen Christ Chapel in Angeles City followed by a beautiful reception at the Grand Palazzo Royale.

The couple tapped local suppliers for their dream wedding as a way to help them recover from the losses brought by the pandemic.

Among their wedding suppliers were Mich Events at Work Official (wedding planner), Bridal Blooms Events Styling by Mauro A Discellarico (event stylist), RJ Ryan (pre-nup stylist), Richard Strandz Hair and Make-up (hair and make-up), Kevin Davis Photography (photographer), Love Always by Lumen (videographer), and Rich Sabinian Gowns and Suits (designer).

“We are grateful for where we are now given the challenges we had to face. I am beyond happy to finally marry the woman of my life and the mother of my son,” Jeff said.

As a way to give back to the community, Jeff shared that Aqua Skin Philippines will be offering a half-entry promo where interested distributors and sellers can get product packages at half the price until July 25 only.
