RIZAL, Nueva Ecija – A top wanted person with two warrants of arrest for rape in Antique was collared in a manhunt operation in Barangay Poblacion Sur here at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Acting town police chief Major Jaime Ferrer identified the suspect as Rogelio Ressurection, 37, native of Sen. Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat, and listed as Top No. 5 most wanted person in Culasi, Antique.
In his report to Col. Jaime Santos, newly installed Nueva Ecija police director, Ferrer said Ressurection was arrested by joint forces of local and Culasi police on the strength of arrest warrants issued by Judge Josefina Muego of Regional Teial Court Branch 13 of Culasi Antique on Sept. 4, 2020.
The warrants, for consummated rape docketed under Criminal Case No. 20-C-0008-CR, were received here on Feb. 6, Ferrer said.
No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the suspect who is now locked at the local police’s detention facility.
