SAMAL, Bataan — Government veterinarians on Friday conducted free vaccination
against rabies on dogs and cats in a barangay here.
Dog and cat owners trooped to sitios Centro, St. Benedict, and Kabyawan in
Barangay Sta. Lucia where vaccinations were held.
Punong barangay Hector Forbes said that they designated three areas for the
ease and convenience of owners of dogs and cats. “Para malapit lang sa kanila at
hindi na kailangang magbiyahe pa.”
Forbes said the vaccination was requested by pet owners in the barangay.
The veterinarians are under the provincial veterinary office headed by Dr. Albert
Venturina at the Capitol compound in Balanga City.
The veterinarians said they were more than willing to bring their services close to
the barangays. They said that dogs from three months old can already be
vaccinated against the deadly virus.
