ANGELES CITY – Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has directed the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) on Wednesday to arrest individuals responsible for child trafficking here.
In a letter to PCol Narvin Mangune, City Director of ACPO, Mayor Lazatin ordered the “arrest of persons responsible for child trafficking in Angeles City, as captured by the city’s CCTV surveillance cameras.”
Mayor Lazatin gave ACPO seven days to arrest the persons behind the child trafficking.
The still unidentifi ed individuals are using minors in their illegal activities such as snatching in the densely populated areas of Angeles City like the ‘Walking Street’ along Fields Avenue.
Mayor Lazatin has also ordered ACPO to conduct rescue operations on the minors. The ACPO will be assisted by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
