Angeles City, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., has once again been recognized as one of the top travel destinations, securing 1st runner-up in the Top Tourist Destination-City category at the Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards 2024.
Representing Mayor Lazatin, Angeles City Tourism Officer-in-Charge Anneleen Antonio-Sugui accepted the award during the ceremony hosted by DOT-Region 3 at Fil-Invest Mimosa+ Leisure City, Clark Freeport Zone.
This recognition highlights the city’s continuous efforts to boost tourism through programs that promote local heritage, culture, and economic growth, which have been supervised by his trusted Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
Strengthening the tourism industry has been one of Mayor Lazatin’s flagship programs, with initiatives focused on sustained promotion and development to attract more visitors and support local businesses.
