ANGELES CITY — The new parking lot at the city hall here will now be open to the public starting today, May 24, 2022.
This was confirmed by City Engineer Donato Dizon, who led and supervised the construction of the new parking lot with Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas.
Mayor Lazatin personally led the opening ceremony of the parking lot.
“Maraming salamat po kina Engr. Don, sa GSO, sa pagtutok po sa trabaho dito sa parking lot natin, na mapapakinabangan po ng mga kababayan at mga City Hall employees po natin,” Lazatin said.
In fact, the three-day trade and tourism fair Agcatan Angeleño Pa is being held at the newly-opened parking lot area, ongoing until May 26, 2022.
To recall, Mayor Lazatin discussed the restoration of the City Hall compound including its parking lot area with Engr. Dizon on October 2021.
Engr. Dizon, together with his staff and the General Services Office conducted a clearing operation at the City Hall compound on November 2021.
The parking lot area composed of 6,000 square meters, can accommodate 210 vehicles.
Engr. Dizon also clarified that the parking lot is open and free to the public.
“Wala pong bayad ang pagpa-park natin dito. Libre pong makakapag-park ang mga kababayan at empleyado natin dito,” Engr. Dizon said.
Meanwhile, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel said that Palawan Cherry blossoms will also be planted around the City Hall compound.
