ANGELES CITY — Some 150 food packages were distributed to the Aeta community in Barangay Sapangbato, after four renowned Angeleño designers initiated a facemask drive in cooperation with the Angeles City Government.
The PasaLove, ChristMASKS in a box project of Frederick Policarpio, Rosette Ramos-Biag, Marlon Tuazon, and Jojo Macapinlac was launched at the One Town One Product store of the city government. The said store is being supervised by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel with Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) Head Irish Bonus-Llego.
Manuel mentioned that the said facemasks were also featured during the 12.12 OTOP sale, and available to purchase on the Angeles City OTOP shop Shopee account and Facebook page, and on the Facebook pages of the designers as well as at the La Casal by Rosette Ramos Biag’s store located at Nepo Mart Complex.
The said distribution of 50 packs of groceries, 50 packs of canned goods, and 50 packs of 5 kilos rice each were given via house-to-house distribution, Policarpio shared.
According to Ramos-Biag, the facemasks drive was launched to help one of the hardest-hit sectors amid the pandemic.
For his part, Tuazon cited the efforts of the city government under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. in going beyond the extra mile for the success of the facemasks for a cause.
Macapinlac, on behalf of the Angeles-based designers proponent of the project, also extended his gratitude to Mayor Lazatin, Chief Adviser and Tactician Director IC Calaguas, Manuel, Beautéderm President and Chief Executive Officer Rei Anicoche-Tan, and other members who assisted during the food packages distribution — Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles and staff; City Social Welfare and Development Officer-in-Charge Edna Duaso and staff; Angeles City Tourism Auxiliary (ACTA) Head Michael Lising and staff; ACEDIPO Head Bonus-Llego and staff; and members of City Information Office.
Apart from the food packs provided from the facemasks drive, the city government also distributed 650 relief packs to 650 families in Sitio Target, Sitio Bliss, and Sitio Babo in the same village.
