ANDI EIGENMANN is not a believer and user of filters on social media, and does not mind posting photos that show her flaws.
Andi is now more lean and toned, thanks to surfing! And being away from her favorite habitat, the beach, is not an excuse for her not to have a swim.
Early in October 25, she slipped into a lilac two-piece bikini, and flaunted her “new figure.”
On Instagram, she wrote, “Sunny weather in the city calls for pool daze.”
But a number of her followers noticed her stretchmarks.
One said, “I have that ugly stretch mark in my belly too…”
Proud about her flaws and does not see the need to edit or filter them, Andi said, “My stretchmarks aren’t ugly though, because I got them from being pregnant with Ellie. And that is the most beautiful thing.”
A fan commented, “I’m only 16 but I have a lot of stretch marks on my body…seeing you, an actress, and someone who’s famously expected to be perfect because of social standards, with the same battle scars as me; makes me realize that I shouldn’t be ashamed of it. It’s now part of my life and it doesn’t make me less beautiful.”
Agreeing to the comment, the daughter of Jaclyn Jose replied, “Definitely not! Its part of who you are! So we should be proud of it. Nobody’s perfect, and people will always have something to say anyway. Let them be. Every part of our being makes us uniquely US. And what makes us beautiful is when we accept and love ourselves for who we are.”
And to those who get body-shamed or bashed on social media and even in real life, remember this advice of Andi:
“It gets easier when you realize that other’s opinions mean nothing if you just don’t let it affect you.”

THAILAND’S Dana Slosar is hailed as the winner of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 6.
She is the third Thai model to win the title, following Jessica Amornkuldilok from Cycle 1 and Tawan Kedkong from Cycle 3.
Meanwhile, Philippine bet Adela-Mae Marshall and Taiwan’s Mia Sabathy are her runners-up.
The reality modelling competition’s finale takes place on Wednesday, October 24.
Thai model/host Cindy Bishop and creative director Yu Tsai pick this season’s winner along with Storm Model Management’s Ruby Adler, Harper’s Bazaar Thailand’s Editor-in-Chief Duang Poshyanonda, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
The winner takes home a brand new Subaru XV, a cover feature on Harper’s Bazaar Thailand, a featured avatar in America’s Next Top Model’s new mobile game, and a modelling contract from Storm Model Management.
On Instagram, Adela congratulates Dana and Mia, “And then there was 1. Congratulations @dsloz you absolutely went #BeyondLimits and I couldn’t be happier for you.
“@miasabathy what can I say we put up a good fight but we are just too good at being runners up… I’m proud of us regardless. I remember when we first met and talked about how scary it was going into another version of ‘Next Top Model’ wondering if it was possible to do as well as we had previously done on a larger scale but I’m glad we made it to the Top 3 together.”
The 20-year-old model also gives a shout-out to the people who guided her throughout the whole competition.
She continues, “To @cindysirinya and @yutsai88 thank you for guiding and [molding] us throughout the whole competition, thank you for seeing something in me I couldn’t even see myself and hopefully this won’t be the last of me you see!
“To @minhtu_nguyen you were the best mentor I could have asked for. You pushed me in ways I never could have imagined and reminded me why I answered you name during my audition when I was asked for one of my favourite contests from previous cycles. All the best in your future endeavours.
“To my family @ekb.marshall @daoooh and @sabrinabaranda and all those who couldn’t make it. Thank you for loving me, thank you for being there for me and thanks for supporting me. You have all helped shape me into the woman I am today and I couldn’t imagine where I’d be without you.”
Towards the end of her message, Adela gives a shout-out to the people behind the camera.
“Now that @asntm is I want to give a special thank you to all of our producers, crew, digital team, hair teams, makeup teams (@maccosmeticsthailand) and our incredible stylist @ priscillaianson people tend to get carried away with the glamour of the competition but literally none of it would have possible without you guys.”
Ultimately, she thanks her Filipino fans for their unwavering support even if she isn’t able to get a back-toback win for the Philippines.
Last year’s winner was Maureen Wrobelwitz.
“Finally, last but not least ang bayan ko. Sabi ko noon, ‘Laban Pilipinas,’ and kahit hindi ako manalo ngayon I will continue to try and represent the Philippines in the best way I can.
“Maraming maraming salamat para sa supportahan n’yo I’m sorry I couldn’t bring home the title for a back-to-back win but I hope I was able to show you na pusong Pinoy ako.
“I hope I was able to represent the Philippines well and I hope to be able to see you soon…or maybe you’ll be seeing me.
“Phew! Now after that I think I deserve a break from social media.”
