All set for the 3rd CARP Likha Trade Fair

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) in Central Luzon are all set to showcase their products from November 21 to 24 at the Event Center of Marquee Mall in Angeles City.

A total of 81 CARP entrepreneurs in this region through the 3rd CARP Likha Trade Fair will bring different products that are known from their province and sourced from agrarian communities.

Among the products are coco-based products, organic rice, rattan baskets, and banana chips from Aurora.

Bataan participants will present their bagoong (shrimp paste) products, cashew nuts, garlic chips and gourmet tuyo, tinapa, and bangus.

Bulacan exhibitors will showcase their crispy mushroom, pastillas, pilipit, kikiam, fishball, and their popular minasa delicacies.

Nueva Ecija will showcase their dairy products, herbal tea and coffee, camote chips, pots and furniture, handicrafts, and turmeric based products.

Pampanga will present food and non-food items from kitchen wares, bags, corporate souvenirs and delicacies such as yema, boat tarts, homemade nuts, chili pastes and fruit juices.

Tarlac participants are expected to bring their sweet potato wine, a prized product that is proudly Tarlac-made. essential oils, peanut butter, chicharon, soft brooms, corn husk products, mushroom and vegetable products are also included in the exhibit.

Zambales will sell their cassava chips, candied sesame, pickled products and palette handicrafts.

DTI-3 regional director Judith P. Angeles expressed her excitement as she invited everyone to support the local products.

“We will have the third edition this year, we would like to invite everyone to support our local products and visit the CARP trade fair in Marquee,” Angeles said.

“We have agricultural and non-agricultural products from the CARP beneficiaries,” she added.

“Tumaas ng several notches ang competitiveness ng Philippines, from 124 naging 95 dahil sa tulong ng pagsupport in the national level together with municipalities and cities,” she added.

To ensure that the products in the trade fair are market-ready, the participating CARP beneficiaries are also recipients of DTI services such as SME Roving Academy, Shared Service Facilities (SSF), and Kapatid Mentor Micro Enterprises (KMME), and other business advisory and product development services.

The CARP Likha Trade Fair is organized by DTI-3 in cooperation with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), local government units, and MSME development councils.
