ANGELES CITY — It’s all set for the first and grandest food and music festival with hot air balloon display and night glow dubbed as “Clark Aurora Fest 2020 (Aurora 2020)” at the Clark Global City open grounds on March 13 and 14.
Named after the northern lights “Aurora Borealis,” the Aurora 2020 will feature the stunning night glow of the hot air balloons along with amazing fireworks display while great music from famous OPM artists are set to add to the vibe.
Organized by Ep!c Events together with Clark Global City and online food delivery service company Mangan.ph, Aurora 2020 will bring together well-curated food kiosks, great music from different OPMs and homegrown artists, as well as hot air balloon display and night glow in a two-day festival.
According to Ep!c Events event producer Louie Alcantara, Aurora 2020 is set to draw approximately 30,000 spectators and festival goers.
“It won’t be like the traditional hot air balloon festival. It’s more on music and food festival and the balloons are for aesthetics,” explained Alcantara.
“If this event is successful, then surely (next time) not only our local artists but international artists as well so that we can really promote Clark,” Alcantara added.
Ep!c Events has partnered with The Medical City – Clark as they will provide sanitation kit for all attendees in line with the joint statement issued by the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Tourism (DOT).
Several homegrown rock bands and artists such as Chocolate Factory, Pot Sembrano, Kapampangan DJs Melvin Lapera, Jhelou and Ian Maliwat among others will also perform on stage.
“Yung mga local artists, may mga kanya-kanyang pasabog, may mga surprise performances para makasabay tayo sa mga national bands na naka line up for Aurora 2020,” said Sembrano.
“Yung mga original songs din namin kakantahin din namin,” he added.
Among the famous OPM bands include Ben & Ben, IV of Spades, December Avenue, including solo artists Unique Salonga, Michael Pangilinan, Kiyo, and many more.
Apart from the great music and curated food stalls and bazaars, Aurora 2020 will also have different activities such as 4×4 production race, car shows and fireworks display.
VIP tickets are priced at P750 while regular passes are at P350. The gates will open at 2 p.m.

Free shuttle busses will also be provided 24/7 from SM City Clark to Clark Global City grounds and vice versa.
For the full hot air balloon experience, the Lubao International Balloon Festival will be held at Pradera Verde on April 3-5.
