Alfamart opens new branch at SM City Olongapo Downtown

ecently opened its new store in Olongapo. Alfamart Philippines COO Harvey Ong said that they plan to serve more communities in Zambales especially the underserved ones.

Alfamart is a joint venture between SM and Alfamart Indonesia. Alfamart is one of Indonesia’s leading mini-market chain operators with more than 15,000 branches across the country.

It introduced this concept in 2014 when it opened its first location in Trece Martires, Cavite. Since then, Alfamart has rapidly expanded in various locations in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Metro Manila, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and other locales in North and South Luzon.

Olongapo City Mayor Rolen “Len J” Paulino was also presentduring the opening of the new branch and led the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Alfamart reaches out to different types of customers and provides everything from smallest to biggest needs as it offers basic groceries, select SM Bonus products, fresh items, snacks such as Turon, and personal care products at affordable prices. It also offers prepaid loading station for added convenience to shoppers. Moreover, it helps uplift communities by providing employment for locals. Alfamart lives up to its tagline “Always here for You.”

Alfamart was able to open its 1000th store in 2020 in just over six years of operating in the country. It continues to open more branches to reach underserved communities.

Alfamart Olongapo is its first in Zambales.
