AIKO MELENDEZ is very apologetic with what have happened – due to unavoidable circumstances.
The A-1 actress is suppose to be a part of the upcoming teleserye on ABS-CBN titled “Sandugo” but instead of doing it, she chose to be by her boyfriend Subic Mayor Jay Khonghun’s side.
Mayor Jay is running for the Vice gubernatorial seat in Zambales come May 2019 elections.
“Nakita niyo na yung publicity shoot ng Sandugo, nando’n na ako.
“But sadly, hindi namin kasi nakita itong mangyayari, itong nangyayari ngayon sa sitwasyon namin ni Jay, “So, I had to decline. Pasensya na po. And babawi po ako sa inyo. “Mas kailangan lang kasi talaga ako ngayon ni Jay.
“Iyon lang, kaya pasensya na po.”
Very recently, Aiko celebrated her double victory thanksgiving party for receiving awards as Best Supporting actress in the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival and Gawad Pasado Awards 2019 both for the movie Rainbow’s Sunset.
Her suppose role in “Sandugo” was tailor-made for her.
However, she’s happy because ABS-CBN got Vina Morales as replacement.
“Kaibigan ko si Vina.
“Sabi nga ni Vina sa akin, ‘Sis, tanggapin ko yung project na para sa ‘yo?’
“Sabi ko, ‘Tanggapin mo dahil maganda iyang project na iyan.’
“But you know, sa buhay ng tao, di ba, there’s always a reason for everything.
“Maybe hindi talaga para sa akin dahil mas kailangan ako ni Jay ngayon.”
Among the issues hurled on Mayor Jay what’s the most important thing that triggered her to back out from the said teleserye?
“Iyong ma-accuse yung taong mahal mo ng isang bagay na alam mong hindi totoo,”
“Masama man pakinggan pero for him to be tagged as one of the narco politicians na drug lord, that’s something so unfair.
“Kasi, if there’s one person who knows Jay very well, that should be me.
“And I’ve seen how he works. Wala akong nakitang illegal, e.
“Uhm, sa telepono niya, wala akong naririnig na may kausap na kaduda-duda.
“Even yung drivers niya—10 years, 15 years, mga staff niya, puro taon ang binibilang. Aiko denied the allegations that she and Mayor Jay are engaged.
“Mayroon kaming calendar na ipapamigay sa buong Zambales.
“So, we wanted that feel na parang ipakita namin yung ganda ng Zambales.
“So, nag-assume yung tao na parang pre-nup siya.”
According to Aiko Mayor Jay hasn’t proposed yet.
“I’m not engaged yet. I don’t have a ring.
“I don’t have a proposal yet or something, not na nagpaparinig ako.
“Pero hindi. Wala po! Wala pa po!”
Are there no plans of settling down yet? Mayor Jay answered back…
“Siyempre, oo naman. Ako na ang sasagot niyan. Oo naman.
“Walang kagatul-gatol kong sasagutin na oo naman,”
“Aiko is a very good person.
“At napakasuwerte ang kahit sinong lalaki makakakita ng katulad.” he said.

THE SECOND to the last leg of The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) was held last saturday, March 23 at the grounds of SM City Clark.
For the past weeks all the participants illuminated the sky with various colors to the crowds delight and enjoyment.
In March 23 Canada painted the night sky bursting with colors with their very own “Fireworks Spectaculars” and China’s Polaris Fireworks which stunned the audience.
The PIPC is a tradition at the SM Mall of Asia that has brought endless enjoyment to millions of Filipinos each year.
For the past 9 years, the pyrotechnics have always complied with the international standards for environmental safety, at par with countries like Canada, Australia, HOngKong and famous theme parks around the world.
In full support of the ongoing Manila Bay rehabilitaiton program of the DENR, SM< Supermalls moved the 10th PIPC from SM Mall of Asia to SM City Clark. which started last Fenruary 23 and will end on March 30.
