ANGELES CITY – Councilor Jericho Aguas has sponsored a resolution recognizing the contribution of businessman Delfin Lee for the continuous growth and development of this city.
Aguas, elected as number one councilor here last May, said that it is timely to thank Lee for investing in Angeles City, establishing Coffee Outlet, Balkline, The Mansion, The Courtyard, Enclave Subdivision and Sameera.
“These projects have given thousands of jobs to Angeleños, wholesome entertainment, and decent and affordable houses to Kapampangans,” he said.
“Ito po siguro ang tamang panahon na suportahan ang isang tao kung kailan siya ay humaharap sa mga challenges”. Maraming tao ang dumidikit sa kanya noon, nasaan na sila ngayon?” he added.
Aguas was supported by councilors Maricel “Marang” Morales, Alexander Indiongco and Edu Pamintuan. The resolution was approved on November 9 in a regular city council session.
Asked for his reaction, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan in a text message said: “That’s just a statement of fact…and it’s true…but it ends there.”
Meanwhile, homeowners in Sameera also lauded Lee for building socialized housing projects where ordinary employees could afford.
They said that even call center agents working in Clark could now own houses in Sameera.
Earlier, Lee said “I fell in love not only with Pampanga but its people as well.”
“The Kapampangans and I have many things in common. We put pride in what we do. I don’t want to see things half-done but well-done,” he said.
