MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) recently launched the new Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) Brand, citing the need to make a universal appeal.

“The FAB Brand is sought to provide the visual representation that will encapsulate what the FAB stands for and seeks to achieve:

It is to exude universal appeal that will anchor the FAB in the consciousness of its stakeholders, potential investors and the public at large,” said Deogracias Custodio, AFAB chairman and administrator.

In a statement, the FAB identity is represented by a ripple motif. “The logo symbolizes growth and expansion, while the interlocking circles connote trade and partnership.”

“Its colors are represented by red and blue, reminiscent of national pride. Moreover, the blue color; being associated with business, depicts depth and stability.

On the other hand, the color red exudes strength, power and determination,” said AFAB.

Combining these elements, the logo reflects a global, progressive, energetic and balanced brand to truly empower FAB as the future’s answer to business, it added.

The AFAB said that to come up with the logo design, they  launched stakeholders’ consultations and surveys through written forms with tarpaulin announcements and drop boxes distributed throughout Bataan; and online forms distributed through Facebook, the FAB Website, the FAB e-news Bulletins, and email blasts.

To ensure full participation, the AFAB also launched a media campaign, making use of newspapers, local radio and cable programs, as well as the website to announce the consultations and survey efforts, it added.

Bataan 2nd District of Rep. Albert S. Garcia supported the search for the new FAB brand.

Known as the “father of the FAB,” Garcia lauded the AFAB, saying “this milestone in the continuous efforts of the AFAB to bring the FAB to national and international prominence. “He sponsored the law converting the area into a Freeport.
