ANGELES CITY – The cobblestoned stretch of Sto. Entierro St. over the weekend turned into an haute couture runway featuring the latest designs of fashion mavens Frederick Policarpio, Jojo Macapinlac, Marlon Tuazon, Mitch Viray, Philip Torres, Rosette Biag, and Rich Sabinian.

This, but the culmination of a day of creativity and culture in the city celebrating National Arts Month in its rendition of “Púpul ning Kalalangan: Katutuan at Tépángan,” a dynamic workshop that brought together photography, fashion design and styling, and makeup and modelling.

Earlier, glamour photography guru Borj Meneses guided participants in seeing stories beyond the frame, teaching that every image carries identity, intention, and truth. In makeup and modelling, Anna Tiglao and Samantha Gomez reminded aspiring creatives that confidence, discipline, and self-expression are just as important as technique.

Then, the fashion and styling segment with the fashion designers themselves sharing more beyond design – that culture lives in craft, and that creativity grows when knowledge is shared.

The runway showcase at Plaza Anghel became a reflection of that generosity. Each walk, each design, and each moment on stage carried the guidance of mentors who chose to uplift young creatives and believe in their potential.

Angeles City continues to support initiatives that inspire artistic growth, elevate local creatives, and strengthen cultural pride. Arts Month remains a platform to showcase talent, celebrate culture, and honor the vibrant creativity that thrives in the heart of the city. Angeles CIO/Main photo: Borj Meneses
