ANGELES CITY — As a component of the Philippine Medical Association, the Angeles City Medical Society (ACMS) expresses its solidarity with fellow frontline workers in their efforts and sacrifices by providing essential supplies through calls for donation and relief operations in their fight against Covid-19.

ACMS president Dr. Michael Dizon said the first batch of their relief operation for their fellow frontliners started as early as March 19 with the distribution ofmeals and food packs in partnership with Susie’s Cuisine.

At the onset, our society was shouldering the expenses of our projects. But as people saw these efforts, it triggered their generous hearts to share their blessings,” Dizon said.

ACMS also provided PPEs, face masks, face shields, and more meals to various hospitals in this city including Angeles University Foundation Medical Center, Garcia Medical Center, Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center, Holy Family Clinic, St. Catherine Medical Center, Sacred Heart Hospital, Philippine Rehabilitation Institute, the rural health units and barangay health centers as well as the community members, and the police and military at the quarantine checkpoints.

Following the success of their first donation drive, Dizon said private individuals and other institutions reached out to continually help the frontliners during the extended enhanced community quarantine.

“We envisioned a bayanihan spirit to spark among other members of our community to also show their support for the frontliners. We know they are going through so much during these times, physical fatigue and emotional stress. Our service to our doctors and the community has been there even before the ECQ, and for sure, it will continue beyond this global crisis,” added Dizon.

The ACMS is an organization of medical doctors that reside or practice in this city that is geared towards their welfare and its community. You may refer to image below to support ACMS solidarity campaign and call for donation.
