ANGELES CITY — The city government here under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will start the construction and improvement of 13 facilities — primary care facilities, reformation center, and new stalls in the public market — beginning on April 24, 2023.
Among the health facilities lined up to be repaired and rehabilitated are the nine existing sub-health centers in Barangays Pampang, Pulungbulu, Capaya, Tabun, Sapangbato, Anunas, Balibago, Pulung Maragul, and Cutud.
Further, two new Primary Care Facilities will be constructed in Barangays Malabanias and Amsic.
These centers will be more equipped just like the 6 Rural Health Units which are now being converted into Puso Centers. This initiative of Mayor Lazatin to prioritize the repair of health centers aims to accommodate more Angeleños in their health needs.
The city government has allotted a total of ₱59,940,168.57 for the facelift of these centers.
In addition, a total of ₱243,900,426.61will be allotted for the construction of new stalls at the Pampang Public Market.
Kanlungan ng Kabataan youth reformation center, also in Barangay Pampang, will begin its construction with a ₱29,968,534.65 fund.
Kanlungan ng Kabataan is a one-stop-shop youth custody center where the Bahay Pag-asa, and Sagip Batang Solvent will be both located.
This was actually patterned after to the Sagip Batang Solvent in Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency — a brainchild of former PDEA Chief Retired Gen. Aaron Aquino with Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, former PDEA Chief-of-Staff and Acting Deputy Director General for Administration.
The mentioned list of health centers, new public market stalls building, and reformation center are among the priority projects of Mayor Lazatin for local infrastructure development.
Mayor Lazatin said his administration will be true to its promise of developing more facilities to provide better services to Angeleños.
