ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will personally lead the house-to-house distribution of 1,000 cash assistance and Vitamin C supplements from the city government starting on March 1, 2023 in Barangays Sapangbato, San Jose, Pampang, Margot, and Cuayan.

Some 48,439 registered senior citizens from the 33 barangays will receive the aid.

Mayor Lazatin will be accompanied by members of the Office for the Senior Citizens Affairs, led by Eduardo Torres, during the distribution.

Five teams from the OSCA will distribute the regular ₱1,000 cash assistance and 90 pieces of Vitamin C supplements to the elderly in Barangays Sapangbato (1,411 beneficiaries); San Jose (1,159); Pampang (2,101); Margot (972); and Cuayan (890).

This is the 4th year in a row that all registered senior citizens will receive the regular ₱1,000 cash assistance and 90 pieces of Vitamin C supplements.

“Tuloy-tuloy po ang mga programang nasimulan natin para sa ating mga senior citizens. Tayo po ulit ang bababa sa kanila sa sa susunod na linggo,” Lazatin said.

Upon the instruction of Mayor Lazatin, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas recently presided the meeting for the distribution with Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs Deputy May David and Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles.

To recall, it was in 2022 when 40,159 senior citizens received the said assistance; 53,996 in 2021; and 55,815 in 2020.
