ANGELES CITY — In support of the city government’s continuing efforts to promote integrity, discipline, and accountable public service under the leadership of Mayor Jon Lazatin, the Angeles City Police Office conducted a random drug testing among its personnel on Jan. 5.
Under the direction of city police director Col. Joselito Villarosa Jr., in coordination with the ACPO health service unit, the drug testing formed part of the police office’s internal cleansing program

ACPO’s total 747-man workforce of 66 police commissioned officers, 642 police non-commissioned officers, and 39 non-uniformed personnel underwent drug testing to ensure that they remain drug-free, disciplined, and physically fit to serve the public.
Mayor Lazatin has consistently emphasized the importance of professionalism and ethical conduct among all city frontliners, particularly those tasked with maintaining peace and order.
The random drug testing reinforces the city’s firm commitment to a zero-tolerance policy on illegal drug use within the police force.

Through this proactive measure, ACPO seeks to further strengthen public trust and ensure that law enforcement officers continue to lead by example. A disciplined and credible police force remains vital in safeguarding the safety and welfare of every Angeleño.
With the activity, ACPO reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining internal reforms and accountability mechanisms in support of the city’s vision of a safe, orderly, and progressive Angeles City. Angeles CIO/Photos: ACPO
