MARIVELES, Bataan — The lifeless body of a 14-year old girl reported abducted Tuesday last week was found nude and burned inside a sack below a bamboo groove next to a road in Barangay Balon Anito here Thursday morning.
The body was positively identified by relatives as Danielle Fereria, a third year high school student at the Llamas Memorial High School in Barangay Poblacion. However, relatives of the victim waiting at a funeral parlor refused to be interviewed and provide details on the alleged kidnap-for-ransom angle.
The abductors allegedly asked for ransom of P500,000 for the release of the girl, whose father is reportedly an overseas Filipino worker (OFW). “Natagpuan namin ang bangkay na sinunog bandang alas 6:30 ng umaga sa Balon Anito. Naghihintay pa kami ng autopsy report sa pagkakakilanlan ng biktima at kung may sugat ba o tama ng baril,” said Supt. Raynold Rosero, town police chief.
He said aside from the medico-legal report, he will wait for the confirmation of the family if the burnt body belongs to Fereria. Rosero said the family of the girl reported her abduction. He also said they are waiting for the autopsy report if the victim was sexually molested. “Inabutan namin ang katawan na sunog, nakahubad. Nakalagay sa sako bago sinilaban,” said Michael Obias, Balon Anito barangay driver, pointing to the exact spot where the body was discovered
