IN THE 1990’s after the birth of the Worldwide Web, the Blessed Mother was reported to have asked a follower of her apparitions in Medjugorje whether he was willing to spread her Medjugorje messages. Immediately, the follower assented, with the understanding the Blessed Mother had wanted her messages to be spread via internet.
And so this follower did as he was asked. He even authored a book compiling all the messages of the Blessed Mother, as conveyed to the five visionaries of Medjugorje. Thus, was born Medjugorje.org.
It is in the same spirit that I have frequently devoted much of this space to the supernatural messages from Medjugorje, with least interference from me, limiting myself to remarks on the who, where, when in brief introductions. This is because the Blessed Mother’s messages have always been understandable, uncomplicated, much unlike laws, memoranda, terms of reference, contracts that we humans conjure up from convoluted ruminations.
The Blessed Mother also referred to her messages as “pebbles” which, when thrown into water, create ripples. It was an appropriate appellation that conveys her intent to have her messages rippling from Medjugorje to the rest of humanity that needs healing, that needs God in these times that remind of the Apocalypse.
Without my repeating myself often, it has always been my wish that readers of this column take it to themselves to spread the pieces, the pebbles from Marian apparitions, not only from Medjugorje, but also from other parts of the world she has been visiting these times, for the messages complement each other, as if each is a piece of a puzzle that, when put together, would form a clearer, more comprehensive vista.
For example, the supposed Third Secret of Fatima which many believe to contain more than what the Vatican had disclosed during the pontificate of St. John Paul II, as now deceased seer Sr. Lucia could not have left the secret in a letter that ended in “etc.” Some insisted that the secret could not but be more dramatic than the first secret consisting of the Fatima seers’ vision of hell and the second secret about World War II.
With the Church failing to fulfill the desire of the Blessed Virgin to reveal the third secret by 1960 and amid doubts on whether the entire secret was revealed in the pontificate of John Paul II, the Blessed Mother appeared anew in Akita, Japan in the early 1970’s to reveal what was kept secret in the third secret. This column had repeatedly relayed the terrifying Akita disclosures on “fire falling from the sky” and the survivors “envying the dead.”
From somewhere is a feeling of the need, more urgent than ever in our days, to spread the pebbles of modern-day Marian apparitions, especially in Medjugorje which is now mere hairline away from being proclaimed as truly supernatural and worthy of belief by the Church.
So, as usual, the next columns are to revolve around the Blessed Mother’s messages through 2019 and beyond, but this time with an ardent call for readers to spread them in any means at their disposal: Twitter, Facebook, email, etc. God bless and give us strength in 2019.
