CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) Sustainable Agriculture Program celebrated the graduation of Batch 277, 278, and 284 in an appropriate ceremony at SM City Telabastagan last Dec. 15.

The graduates hail from San Fernando, Mexico, Pandacaqui, and Sapang Bato in Angeles City, reflecting the program’s far-reaching impact.

In collaboration with partners including the Department of Agriculture, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Tourism, and St. Isidore the Farmer School, the KSK program has empowered individuals to become the next generation of entrepreneurs through its comprehensive training in sustainable urban gardening.

During the ceremony, the graduates were awarded certificates marking the culmination of their intensive training. They were also presented with an opportunity to leverage their newly acquired knowledge and skills to establish themselves as entrepreneurs in the field of sustainable agriculture.

The event was graced by representatives from the cities of Mabalacat and San Fernando, underscoring the strong support and commitment of the local community to the KSK program and its participants.

The KSK Sustainable Agriculture Program goes beyond imparting modern farming techniques, encompassing essential courses in social entrepreneurship, facilitating market linkages, and providing guidance in the establishment of associations and cooperatives. Through these comprehensive offerings, the program has effectively equipped the graduates with the tools and resources needed to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys. SM-PR
