SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Officers and staff of the Subic EnerZone Corp., a power distribution company here, and its corporate social responsibility arm Aboitiz Foundation, have come together to celebrate Christmas through an outreach initiative to bring joy to 103 indigent and Aeta kids at Pamulaklakin Trail in Pastolan Village, Hermosa, Bataan.

Enerzone president and CEO Dante Follescas said, in the spirit of giving, Subic EnerZone Corp., through the generous support of the Aboitiz Foundation, distributed gift packs of Christmas Noche Buena and gift items for each child and teacher. This thoughtful initiative aims to make the holiday season brighter for Grade 4 to Grade 6 pupils of Pastolan Integrated School.

The total cost of the project amounted to P140,000, with 50% of the funds contributed by the Aboitiz Foundation and the remaining 50% being a result of the company and employees’ collective initiative. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of Subic EnerZone Corp. and its employees to making a positive impact on the communities they serve, he added.

“We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back, especially during the festive season. This Christmas outreach is a reflection of our commitment to support and uplift the lives of those in need,” said Jay Navarro, assistant vice president of Subic EnerZone Corp.

“We are so thankful to the management and employees of Subic Enerzone and Aboitiz Foundation for choosing our school as recipient of this Christmas gift-giving and the company’s overwhelming support to our community,” teacher Marilou Reyes said.

The event was a fun and festive celebration for the children, EnerZone employees and partners with magic show, song and dance presentations and distribution of merienda packs after the program.
