CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened three One Town One Product (OTOP) Nooks in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
They are located at Farm Ridge by Desmond Farm, Lake Farm de La Marre, and Highland Bali Villas, Resort and Spa.
DTI Nueva Ecija Senior Trade Industry Development Specialist Maria Odessa Manzano said the purpose of OTOP Nooks is to help entrepreneurs showcase their locally manufactured products to tourists visiting the province.
“Like the OTOP Store, OTOP Hub, and OTOP Pasalubong Center, OTOP Nook is an additional initiative to promote and expand the market for products made in Nueva Ecija,” she furthered.
About 21 OTOPreneurs currently sell their products at the OTOP Nooks in Pantabangan.
The agency targets to launch similar outlets in the various tourist destinations in the municipalities of Bongabon, Gabaldon, and Cuyapo, and city of Gapan. (CLJD/CCN-PIA 3)
