CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga- The provincial government distributed assistance to 638 dialysis patients in the province on Wednesday, November 15.

The patients were convened at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center to undergo medical check-up through the help of “Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care Program” of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

The event aimed to offer vital medical support, including free check-ups and necessary medications like epoetin, insulin, and other maintenance drugs.

Among the beneficiaries was Elena Hernandez, whose brother relies on regular dialysis treatments.

With tears of gratitude, she expressed, “Dakal a salamat dahil maragul ya pung saup kekaming pakakulu na emi a-afford ing pamagpadialysis ampong kidney transplant.”

Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda stressed the importance of taking care of oneself, urging families to prioritize their well-being to prevent any kidney-related diseases.

“Deng aliwa yu pung pamilya a epa magdialysis, makisabi ku pu kekayu na ingatan yula kasi ing dialysis pu, nung eka makidney transplant, habang bye pu magdialysis naka. Masakit, masakit ya, sakit yang makwalta pu yan pero enaman pu malyari kekatamu yan nung mingat tamu,” she said.

Patients received financial assistance, food packs, and half cavan of rice.

The Provincial Government of Pampanga under the leadership of Governor Delta, goes beyond providing medicines, food packs, and financial aid. It consistently strives to turn moments of hardship into stories of compassion and resilience and reminds not only the dialysis patients but every Cabalen that they are not alone in these hard and challenging times.

Also present during the event are 2nd District Board Members Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Fritzie David-Dizon, Cherry Manalo, Gabby Mutuc, Provincial Health Officer Zenon Ponce, and Dra Ming Ignacio.
