CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — About 107 Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) beneficiaries in Central Luzon will showcase their products.
The 6th CARP Regional Trade Fair will be held on November 16 to 19, 2023 at Marquee Mall in Angeles City.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) OIC-Regional Director Brigida Pili said it is one of the agency’s marketing assistance that serves as a venue for product promotion, sales generation and expanding market niches.
“The CARP Regional Trade Fair aims to create an effective promotion and selling platform to help the region’s Agrarian Reform Communities find wider reach of markets for their products thereby providing opportunities to micro, small and medium enterprises to link with more buyers for sustained generation of sales,” she added.
Aside from marketing assistance, DTI supports the livelihood component of the agrarian reform program by providing livelihood skills training, provision of Shared Service Facilities, and product development assistance to CARP beneficiaries.
For this year, the trade fair will highlight products made of coconut and coconut by-products through a special showcase in support of the coconut farmers of Central Luzon.
Pili said the theme of the showcase is “Negosyo ng Niyog: Tagumpay na Kwento.”
“We hope that through this showcase, we can increase the awareness of the public on the various products derived from the coconut tree while providing wider exposure to the produce of our coconut farmers in Region 3,” she pressed.
Other products to be featured include agricultural products, processed foods, handicrafts, woodcraft, wearables, gifts and holiday decors, bamboo/rattan products, and cosmetic products. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)
