CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned over two multipurpose buildings in the 3rd legislative district of Nueva Ecija.
These are located in barangays Mapalad in Sta. Rosa town and Pinamalisan in Gabaldon town.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad stated that the two public buildings worth P9.7 million will serve as the new centers for the delivery of local services, significantly aiding officials in effectively organizing and unifying residents during barangay meetings and sessions.
“These facilities will also function as a convenient space for the effective implementation of various programs and services initiated by the local government,” Trinidad added.
Pinamalisan Punong Barangay Adriano Padilla expressed his gratitude for having a new barangay hall that will provide a comfortable space for residents to use.
Pinamalisan resident Romeo Astrero, on the other hand, believes that the barangay hall will greatly contribute to enhanced services and other initiatives dedicated to them.
The projects were part of the agency’s Basic Infrastructure Program under the 2023 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
