IBA, Zambales – A seminar on “Mental Health Awareness in Resilient to Change”

was conducted for 20 school heads and 100 PTA district officials and school officers at the Zambales National High School here on Sept. 1.

Capt. Mariel Cuison, head of 302nd Maritime Police Station, oriented the participants on the importance of district training in their role of protecting the health, safety, well-being of school children and the importance of technology on an individual’s development. He also gave tips on how to control children’s utilization of gadgets.

Representatives of the Zambales Police Provincial Office headed by Capt. Gina Dagsaan discussed laws on the protection of women and children against abuse, and the psychology of parent-child relations.

Lanie Tabile, vice president of PTA School Division, Zambales, tackled the role of the parent in relation to mental health awareness.

The seminar was initiated by DepEd-Division of Zambales superintendent Jessie D. Ferrer who was represented by George P. Acupan, public schools district supervisor.
