DPWH begins construction of new multipurpose facilities at Baler Central School

BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) commenced the construction of new multipurpose facilities at Baler Central School in the province of Aurora.

These include a two-storey, eight-classroom building and a one-storey, three-classroom building.

DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said these infrastructures will significantly impact the lives of students, teachers, and community.

The Department of Public Works and Highways holds a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of new multipurpose facilities at Baler Central School in the province of Aurora. These include a two-storey, eight-classroom building and a one-storey, three-classroom building. (DPWH)

“The project covers not only the construction of new classrooms but also the retrofitting of the school’s existing covered court, rehabilitation of the school gate, and the establishment of additional amenities, such as a 150-square meter function hall, a viewing stand with a stage, a public toilet, a 250-meter drainage canal, a new flagpole, and a parking area/playground,” he added.

Meanwhile, BCS Principal Ronnie Ritual conveyed his gratitude for the forthcoming facilities, underscoring their positive impact on teachers, staff, students, and the entire local community by offering the necessary resources to enhance learning and foster growth.

The construction of the school facilities has been allocated a total of P49.5 million in the 2023 national budget. (CLJD-PIA 3)
