Chief Inspector Edgar Q. Balagso, CIDG provincial officer, identified the suspect as George Tay Gonzales, 49, resident of No. 17 corner 20th Fountain Street, Barangay East Bajac-Bajac.
Gonzales was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Roline-Ginez Jabalede of RTC Branch 74, Olongapo City for violation of RA 10591.
During the search conducted by PO2 Dennis Jeminez, the suspect yielded one .45 pistol with serial number 157799, seven rounds of .40 live ammunitions, eight pieces of 9mm live ammunitions, five .45 live bullets, and one magazine assembly.
Investigation disclosed the suspect failed to present any pertinent documents on said firearms and ammunitions. Gonzales is now detrained at CIDG Zambales detention cell facing charges for violation of RA10591 (Illegal possession of firearm and ammunitions).
