JULY 6, 2023 – The MCC Career Expo 2023 kicked off with tremendous success on its first day at SM City Clark’s Event Center. The expo, themed “Building the Workforce of Tomorrow,” brought together job seekers, companies, and industry leaders in a dynamic platform aimed at connecting talent with career opportunities.
The event commenced with inspiring opening remarks delivered by Dr. Romeo Erese III, the esteemed AVP for Academic Affairs at Mabalacat City College. Dr. Erese emphasized the significance of the career expo in shaping the future workforce and empowering individuals to pursue their professional aspirations.
Engr. Joshua Ken Policarpio, the AVP for Workforce Development, also delivered a motivating message, highlighting the importance of bridging the gap between industry needs and skilled job seekers. Engr. Policarpio’s insights provided invaluable guidance to attendees seeking to match their skills with the demands of the job market.
With the active participation of 42 companies, the MCC Career Expo 2023 offered a diverse range of career opportunities. A staggering 890 job openings were made available across various sectors, ensuring a wide array of choices for job seekers.
The festivities reached a significant milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, graced by Dr. Romeo Erese III, Mr. JC Mercado, and Mr. Jerwin Jalandoni. This symbolic act marked the official inauguration of the MCC Career Expo 2023, symbolizing the commencement of countless opportunities and collaborations.
The event was further elevated by the esteemed presence of Mabalacat City Administrator, Mr. Franco Alejo Madlangbayan. His participation exemplified the city’s commitment to empowering its workforce and creating avenues for career advancement.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with 676 eager job seekers in attendance. Their enthusiasm and preparedness were evident, as 27 individuals were hired on the spot, showcasing their qualifications and impressing recruiters with their skills and potential.
