CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) implemented asphalt overlaying projects along major highways in the province of Nueva Ecija.
Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) upgraded a total of 2.22 kilometers of the Jose Abad Santos Avenue (JASA) sections in barangay San Nicolas in Gapan City and barangay Poblacion to barangay Malapit in San Isidro town.
DPWH Regional Director Roseller Tolentino said the completed road projects along JASA, with a total amount of P69.25 million, are part of the agency’s asset preservation and preventive maintenance program that aims to deter road deterioration and address necessary repairs to avoid road inconveniences.
“Nueva Ecija 2nd DEO implemented the asphalt overlaying projects from March to May 2023 which immediately ensured the unhampered delivery of goods and services to the general public,” he added.
