TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conducted a Seminar on How to Start a Business and Skills Training on Meat Processing to residents of Dapdap in Bamban, Tarlac.
Participants were Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and micro, small, and medium enterprises from barangays Culubasa and Bangcu.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay said this aims to provide opportunities for business and sustainable livelihood to the stakeholders.
“We hope to raise entrepreneurial awareness in the community, provide guidance on how to start a business, and develop skills of their interest using raw materials that are readily available or could be easily accessed in their community,” Garibay added.
During the training, Bamban Negosyo Center Business Counselor Erica Turla tackled the different types of business and possible business opportunities, as well as the requirements and steps for business registration.
Meanwhile, Danilo Gacusan demonstrated how to make embutido, longganisa, tocino, siomai, and ham.
This year, DTI lined up a total of 10 trainings in the municipality through its Negosyo Center. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
