BONGABON, Nueva Ecija – A 53-year-old woman was killed while two boys were wounded in a gun attack reportedly perpetrated by a lone gunman in Purok 5, Barangay Sinipit here shortly after 9 p.m. April 3, police said.
The fatality was identified as Marites Peralta, 53, resident of Barangay Rizal here.
Wounded were a 15-year-old vendor from Sta. Veronica, Guimba; and an 11-year-old from Barangay Pesa in this municipality.
The gunman fled on board a motorcycle, a sketchy police report showed.
Police said the suspect, armed with a still unspecified hand gun, successively shot the victims.
Hit in different parts of their bodies, the victims were brought to the Bongabon District Hospital but Peralta was declared dead upon arrival by an attending physician at 9:25 p.m., the report showed.
The minors were transferred to an undisclosed medical facility.
There was no report yet on the relationship among the victims.
