6 rob suspects fall in police operations

    CASTILLEJOS, Zambales —Six members of an Akyat Bahay Gang operating here and in nearby towns were apprehended by joint operatives of the 315th Zambales Provincial Mobile Group and Castillejos PNP at their safe house in Barangay Del Pilar of this town, police said.

    Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO), Director, Sr. Supt. Rolando Felix, identified the suspects as Franklin Pascua, Florencio Eugenio and Evan Roy Abasta, all of this town.

    315th ZPMG Director Supt. Jerry Sumbad said about 9 a.m., the team led by SPO1 Epifanio Cunanan nabbed the suspects during follow up operations by the police after they robbed a Nissan Sentra (GNS-998) owned by PO3 Pancho Villa, member of the 315th ZPMG.

    The suspects carted away a DVD player, adaptor and assorted personal belongings inside the car.

    Earlier, suspects Lito Mendoza, Joseph Agustin and Armando Lonzanida were nabbed by police operatives when they were identified by their victims in the robbery at a gasoline station in San Antonio and Castillejos town.

    Recovered from the suspects were caliber 45 pistol and caliber 38 revolver.

    The suspects are all locked up in jail facing charges of robbery, illegal possession of firearms and theft.
